01.31.2011 Evan sleeps through the night (sort of)!

Last night was the first time in 4+ months where we did not get up to comfort or feed Evan between 10:30pm (when he fell asleep) and 5:30 am.  He did wake up around 2:30 am and gave a few soft cries but quickly fell back asleep as he 'knew' he wouldn't be getting a feeding from us.  At 5:30 am, he woke up again and I didn't let him try to go back to sleep again as I knew he must be pretty hungry.  After feeding him about 5 oz of milk and changing his diaper, I put him back in the crib and he continued to sleep for a few more hours.  Wow, he's really growing up and learning to sleep through the night!  It only took 3 days for him to learn to skip the night feeding as well as being comforted to fall back asleep.

Yesterday we gave him some brown rice cereal using a new baby spoon (soft plastic tip).  Here's how he reacted :)
